The People of RhiassaRhiassa is a storied country with a long history. Over the many years of Rhiassa's existence many different people have worn the Red and Black. Generations of Rhiassan's have come into the Realms, made names for themselves, and have pushed the community forward in a myriad of different ways. We take great pride in our kinsmen. The government of Rhiassa is a Knightocracy, meaning that all the Knights of Rhiassa have the ability to take on vassals and have a say in the workings of the country. The lord of Rhiassa has always been a Knight of Rhiassa for that reason. The squires of Rhiassa, to that same extent, have some political power as well. Rhiassa is also unique in that the lordship has, peacefully and based on merit, changed hands twice since its founding, maintaining the same government throughout the changes. Retired lords take on the title of elder and continue to be valuable advisers and leaders. In this section you can read about the people who make up Rhiassa. There are some long, personal stories about people's pasts and some brief descriptions of others. Each of them are honored parts of Rhiassa's past, or its future. Of those who are dubbed inactive members, some may still show up once in a while. They have not passed on - but age and experience have presented them with many duties and challenges, and they cannot join us at our gatherings very easily or very regularly. Also amongst the inactive members are a few people who are no longer members of Rhiassa, including such great names as Lucas who went on to be the first lord of Griffindor or Dugal who became one of Folkestone's most accomplished pike fighters. There are also notable Rhiassans who have passed on. Mandrake, our greatest storyteller and an accomplished archer, was taken by Pathos and is no longer with us. Kethrellen made the ultimate sacrifice in the battle against the progeny of The Nameless One. As our nation grows, we will continue to expand this section with information about who we are and where each of us has come from.
